Draw Your Swords

Come on love, draw your swords
Shoot me to the ground
You are mine, I am yours
Let's not fuck around

...it

I'm the owner of a mind
That never stops whispering in my ear
How I wish I couldn't hear...

Where's your head at?

This is another photograph from my trip to Paris in 2009. Tuesday I'm going to Paris again, this time with a bunch of Art History students. The group of students I'm in will have a surrealistic approach in this trip, which means we'll investigate the how's and why's of the Surrealist movement in Paris. I'm sure I'll make a lot of photos there, as my camera will be hanging 'round my neck 24/7.
So I was looking at my pictures of Paris 2009 and when I saw this one, I thought 'well, how surreal is this?!'. So as a little 'apéritif', here's to you: the legend of St. Denis.

Peel slowly and see

Peel slowly, my second skin
Remove all the cover ups
Let yourself in

A beautiful fear

Jellyfish at the zoo. I like them better when they're behind the glass, rather than when it's me and the sea, and all that's in there.

Red, white and blue

Amsterdam celebrated the Queen's birthday (actually it's not even her real birthday, but who cares). The masses took over the streets, a city soaked in red, white and blue. And orange, of course. One big hurray for our Beatrix. Or for a boundless party in the streets.

Proper illustration of the Student Life

(Though the male figure in the illustration is a bit too bold for a student. But still..)

Logic II

Who saw it coming
Every day in life
I met my future husband
In five years I'll meet his wife
Who saw it coming
Why let it pass
Every day in life
Is a day without logic
Though not without sense

Logic I

When cherishing something changes into desiring something, you lost something.
